Prayer for Moms | Strength, Wisdom & God’s Guidance

A Prayer for Moms

I know it’s hard to balance motherhood, work, and a social life while trying to keep the main thing the main thing.

In this season of motherhood, know that you are not alone.

Today’s prayer is a reminder from Galatians 6:9 — Don’t get weary in well-doing.

Let’s pray.

Father God, I pray that You first forgive me for the sins I’ve committed against You as I set out to pray for moms.

I pray against any distractions that would cause her to take her eyes off her child’s needs and wants.

It’s hard balancing motherhood, a social life, work, and downtime, so I want to pray that You give her the balance she needs while also allowing her to regain and commit to her priorities.

For the mother of young children, I pray for patience and against “mom guilt.” I pray that You give her the wisdom needed to create the life for her child/children that You have in mind.

I pray that You give her a safe support system, and I bind up the spirit of fear and anxiety.

For every mom, I pray that she will have the strength, stamina, and energy to be a caretaker.

I also pray that she will prioritize her health, mental well-being, and prayer time.

Holy Spirit, remind her to pour into herself first so that she may pour into others.

Keep her mind, Father.

Take her to deeper depths and higher heights. And I bind up any hindrances.

I also bind up comparison. I pray that she would not be worried or feel inadequate about what other children have or are doing compared to her child/children.

I pray that she not lose focus on this season of raising her child/children or see it as a burden or a chore.

But instead, show her the power and great reward that mothering is, and what it can bring to her, her family, and her children in Jesus’ name.

Help her not to grow weary in well-doing. Even if she’s been saying the same thing over and over again and even praying the same thing, help her to remember that at just the right time she will reap the harvest of blessing that she’s been believing You for. Galatians 6:9

As she reads this prayer, please bring to mind anything else that she needs to stop worrying about and begin to trust You for in Jesus’ name.

Amen!
