Lord, I’m Changing and I Love It – Prayer

If you’ve ever prayed “Change me, Lord,” this next prayer is for you. It’s a heartfelt prayer for spiritual growth and transformation—the kind that doesn’t just touch your emotions but shifts your habits, your home, your thoughts, and your heart. This prayer is the evidence of that change unfolding. God is moving, and you can feel it.

Yahweh,

Thank You for changing me. Thank You for answering my prayer. Everything about me—my mind, body, habits, thoughts, and home—is changing because You are answering my prayers.

Please don’t stop the good work You’re doing in me, Christ. I’m so thankful, I can’t say it enough.

In my mind, I’m afraid to go back, but Your Word says in John 8:36, “If the Son sets you free, you are free indeed.” Please don’t let me return to my old way of life. Holy Spirit, help me to maintain my new habits and way of living.

God, You are moving me toward—and actually straight into—Your perfect will for my life. Please forgive me for ignoring Your instructions. You told me to do these things years ago, and I didn’t. Now that I’ve put them into practice, I don’t want to stop!

Thank You for creating a clean heart within me and restoring me back to what feels like my factory setting. Thank You for renewing a loyal spirit within me. I want to stay in Your presence forever.

Lock me in, God.
Keep me focused and faithful.
Insulate me and never allow me to lose sight of You. Don’t let me walk away or turn my eyes, heart, or mind from You again.

Thank You for restoring to me the joy of Your salvation—and a love for prayer, reading and studying Your Word, homemaking, and even my sexual desire toward my husband despite menopause.

Thank You for making me willing to serve and obey You and for consistently drawing my heart toward You. Please show me how to teach Your ways to other women who have gone astray so they too can return to You. (Psalm 51:10–13)

For so long, I gave myself and my time to worthless things. Thank You for giving me the understanding and desire to obey Your instructions—and the grace to put them into practice in my heart.

Thank You for guiding me on the right path, for I have truly found happiness. And thank You for giving me an eagerness for Your ways. You have truly given me a life I love, and I’m falling more in love with it every day.

Help me continue finding joy in the simple things—like the silence that brings peace to my heart and mind, the breeze that calms my soul, and the sound of birds singing beautifully throughout the day. (Psalm 119:34–37)

Continue to make me steadfast and unmovable, always abounding in the work You’ve assigned me—especially around the house and within the ministry of prayer You’ve given me. (1 Corinthians 15:58)

Now, I long to obey Your commandments. Thank You for renewing my life with Your goodness. (Psalm 119:40)

A wonderful change has come over me.
