In Part 2 and Part 3, I’ll show you 15 ways increase your faith and reveal 15 things that may be quietly killing it—so you can confront worry, doubt, and fear head-on.
Let this be the season where your faith is revived, your heart is encouraged, and your obedience is strengthened.
Let’s Pray
Yahweh, forgive me for the sins I have committed against You and others.
Father God, please increase my faith and give me the wisdom to follow You and do what You ask.
Yesterday, I was reading 1 Kings 3, where You made Solomon king instead of his father, David. I noticed how he came to You humbly and honestly, confessing in verses 7–9:
“Now, O Lord my God, You have made me king instead of my father, David, but I am like a little child who doesn’t know his way around. And here I am in the midst of Your own chosen people, a nation so great and numerous they cannot be counted! Give me an understanding heart so that I can govern Your people well and know the difference between right and wrong. For who by himself is able to govern this great people of Yours?”
I love how he came to You and said, “…but I am like a little child who doesn’t know his way around.”
Verse 10 goes on to say that You were pleased with him for asking for wisdom.
Your Word also says that You do not show favoritism (Romans 2:11), meaning what You have done for one person, You can certainly do for another. Therefore, here is my confession:
I lack faith in You. Not because You aren’t reliable or haven’t shown up time and time again in my life, but because I know the issue is me.
I’m afraid to step out and do what You ask.
I’m fearful that I will fail.
What if I’m not hearing You properly?
What if they are my thoughts and not Yours?
I don’t have enough money, knowledge, or ability to carry out what You’re asking.
And I know I am completely worried and focused on the wrong things.
This is me being honest, and as You did with Solomon, I pray that You find pleasure in me.
Give me faith the size of a mustard seed so that I may move mountains (Matthew 17:20–21).
Holy Spirit, remind me and teach me how to walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).
I know that You are always with me and that with Jesus, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).
Please lift the heaviness I feel—the weight of immobility and lack of motivation.
Satan, I rebuke and come out of agreement with any plan or assignment you are waging against me. I come against the spirit of worry, doubt, and fear, and I declare that I will boldly walk in obedience in every area of my life!
I will do what the Lord says over what I may think or feel.
Jesus, You are my Master, the head of my life. You have never failed, and in this, I rejoice!
Thank You, Father, for answering my prayers, increasing my faith, and giving me the love to obey what You say.
In Jesus’ name, I pray,
Amen.
