Yahweh,
I pray that You make me Spiritually Fit, and Holy Spirit, help me to maintain a healthy and thriving spiritual life.
Before I pray, Father, I ask that You forgive me for not being as diligent as I should in walking in the Way and for not reading the Bible and praying every day.
Forgive me for walking alone throughout the day, for not bringing my cares and burdens to You, and for not actively seeking to spread the Gospel and Good News with others on a consistent basis.
I’ve also done a bad job of memorizing Scripture and holding it in my heart and mind often. Forgive me for not properly staying before You in the pruning process. There are many times when, instead, I’ve leaned to my own understanding and reasoned with my flesh instead of with the mind of Christ.
I want to be Spiritually Fit.
I want my life to line up with Your Word. Holy Spirit, help me to study the Word and meditate day and night and to make sure that I am mindful to obey everything written in them so that I may be prosperous and successful. (Joshua 1:8)
There’s so much that You’ve told me to do that I just haven’t. Yahweh, I’m sorry for not respecting Your commands and for walking in rebellion instead of obedience. Forgive me for not keeping Your precepts diligently. Give me an upright heart to praise You as I learn Your righteous ways. (Psalms 119:4-7 NKJV)
For I understand that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. (Matt. 4:4) Therefore, please give me an overwhelming desire to read the Bible often. (Psalms 119:20) Fix my eyes so that when I read Your Word, I will realize what is wrong in my life. When I open it, lead me to the very Scriptures that will correct me when I’m wrong and teach me what is right! (2 Tim. 3:16)
Use it to prepare and equip me to do every good work, in Jesus’ name.
I want to rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and in everything give thanks. For I know, according to 1 Thess. 5:16-18, that this is the will of God in Jesus Christ for my life.
Help me not to worry about anything and instead pray about everything. When I’m in need, remind me, God, to tell You and to thank You for all You have done. Then I will experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Allow Your peace to guard my heart and mind as I live in Christ Jesus, like Your Word promises.
Give me the conviction, confidence, and courage to boldly teach, encourage, share my testimony, and the Gospel with the world—starting with those in my neighborhood and anyone I meet. Give me the wisdom to know when and what to share and with whom.
Most importantly, give me a community of like-minded believers where we can confess our sins to one another and pray for each other so that we can be healed.
I come against the enemy’s attacks and lies in my mind and life that are causing me not to pray for myself and others as I should, when the truth is that the prayer of the righteous availeth much.
Therefore, show me how to pray the prayer that has power and that will produce wonderful results in the lives of others. (Hebrews 10:24-25) Teach me, Holy Spirit, how to effectively intercede on behalf of others and give me the wisdom I need to remain constant, steadfast, and unmovable.
Give me the power and willingness to lay aside every weight of sin that so easily trips me up. Give me the strength to run with endurance the race that is set before me and to always look unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith. (Hebrews 12:1)
Proverbs 14:1 says, a wise woman builds her home. Therefore, whatever my hands find to do, remind me to rebuke procrastination and do it with all my might.
God, You have given me a gift—actually, You have given me many gifts—allow me to use them for Your glory, to help build Your Kingdom, and to help others.
In Jesus’ name, I pray all these things.
Amen
